Nothing is so comforting to a traveler as good food. I was comforted, and delighted too, by a meal served me by The Juniper Spoon on a recent trip to Indiana.     Each time I hire The Juniper Spoon for a work function, I can count on several things: an imaginitive menu created with my group's taste preferences in mind; elegant presentation; professional demeanor and, of course, excellent food that is unparalleled in its quality and preparation. I hire The Juniper Spoon every chance I get!     We all enjoyed the elegant dinner The Juniper Spoon prepared for the Art League. Everyone raved about it! The menu was perfect—the salad was piquant, the pilaf was fluffy, the chicken was tender, the asparagus was tender-crisp, and the rosemary bread was still warm. And that cake! I’d never had orange blossom cake before, and it was so rich and satisfying. We noticed and appreciated all the little extras—the pots of green herbs on the buffet table, the artichokes and dried cranberries in the chicken casserole, the real whipped cream on the cake, and so on. I can’t believe how Lali managed it so efficiently.     If someone had told me that we would be able to feed 150 people during a Spirit & Place Festival event on our campus and stay on schedule with our programming for the evening, I would have told them that I thought that was improbable. But that is what happened! The food was delicious, well-prepared and served in a timely way. We were very pleased with the service that Lali Hess and the staff of Juniper Spoon provided for us.     The Juniper Spoon serves fabulous food using fresher ingredients, creative and interesting desserts, and beautiful plating. Lali creates interesting flavors, textures and colors so it's an all around sensory experience.     Lali catered a company dinner for twelve in our home. She met with me in my home to plan the meal and the serving setup. Lali had a complete checklist, such as linens, glasswares, silver, etc. We were able to determine what serving pieces I had and what I could rent from her. Lali was prompt—even a bit early. She stayed through dessert, serving the meal and refilling drinks. She took all her pots and pans with her, leaving me with a clean kitchen and only my china dishes to wash. The food was beautifully presented and served. Lali was very comfortable working in my kitchen. She was also at home with the guests. I was able to relax and enjoy the party.     The Juniper Spoon dinner deliveries give us a home cooked meal with flair. We look forward to each wonderfully prepared delicious meal as a treat after a long day's work. It’s perfect for our busy schedule and for our desire to share a homemade dinner together at home.
